Pudumjee Paper Products Profit Up by 26%

Turnover for the six months period increased by about 7%

During the six months period ended 30th September, 2019, the Company produced 36269 MT of paper, 9% increase over 33406 MT produced during the same period in the previous year.

Pudumjee Paper Products Limited (PPPL) has reported impressive results for the six months period ended 30th September, 2019.

During the six months period ended 30th September, 2019, the Company produced 36269 MT of paper, 9% increase over 33406 MT produced during the same period in the previous year.  While the Turnover for the six months period increased by about 7% to Rs.3180 Millions (Rs.2974 Millions), EBIDTA for the period increased by 21% to Rs.287.79 Millions (Rs.238.48 Millions).

Total Profit Before Tax for the six months period ended 30th September, 2019 showed a rise of 26% and stood at Rs.201.47 Millions (Rs.160.16 Millions).

The company is ideally placed to replace single use plastic in various applications including food & hygiene products packaging for which purpose it is vigorously developing and marketing various varieties of value added papers including for liquid packagings.

The Company has successfully completed the erection of equipment for downstream value added products which is expected to supplement the efforts of the Company for improving performance as well as strengthening business segment of Flexible Food Packaging papers.
