LeeBoy has recently announced its plans for strengthening of its product support by setting up depots across the country. It also announced that Polyhose India Private Limited has acquired LeeBoy India Construction Equipment Private Limited from Singapore Technologies Engineering Limited. This move is expected to give a boost to LeeBoy’s expansion plans in the Indian and Export markets.

LeeBoy India is a leading manufacturer of specialized construction equipment for roads and mining. The acquisition includes motor graders, crawler excavators, drill rigs, backhoe loaders and concrete batching plants with proven designs.

“The investment in LeeBoy India is aligned with our strategy to be a significant player in the construction equipment market in India and overseas,” says Hatim Shabbir of Polyhose. He is the Gen Next of Polyhose family. “The acquisition of Ashok Leyland John Deere’s facility at Gummudipoondi in Chennai has helped the group to make a foray into this industry and LeeBoy is already a leading player in this space with a proven product portfolio and we are excited to lead the company’s growth into newer markets and geographies”.

The company also announced the appointment of K. Sunil Kumar as President.
