Isuzu Motors India restructures management team

Naohiro Yamaguchi appointed MD and Hiroyasu Miura will join as the Chairman

Naohiro Yamaguchi, General Manager, LCV Sales Project Department at Isuzu Japan has been appointed as the Managing Director of Isuzu Motors India (IMI), a subsidiary of Isuzu Motors Limited, Japan. In his new capacity, he will be responsible for the overall operations of the company.

Takashi Kikuchi, the outgoing GM, will now become the President of Isuzu Motors, Thailand. He will also assume the role of ‘Senior Executive Officer' at Isuzu, Japan. He will, however, continue as the part-time board member at IMI.

Kikuchi has been instrumental in setting IMI on a strong growth path, since its inception in 2012. Under him, IMI has successfully established the strength of Isuzu products in key segments and continues to provide a new dimension to products in the market in the Pick-up and SUV segments.

In his previous role, Yamaguchi was responsible for overseas sales operations and business development at Isuzu Motors in Japan, Thailand, and Europe. He was one of the key members of the India project team at Isuzu, Japan. He is expected to bring his rich experience in sales operations and strategy, and further accelerate Isuzu's growth in the country. Incidentally, IMI gears up towards its full-fledged operations in India by 2016.

Additionally, Hiroyasu Miura, Executive Officer and Executive in-charge of Manufacturing Engineering Planning Department, Vehicle Manufacturing and New Business Development at Isuzu Japan will now join as the Chairman at Isuzu Motors India and will be responsible for product engineering and development.

Taizo Nakahigashi, Senior Vice President at IMI will take over as the Chief Executive Officer at Isuzu Hicom, Malaysia.
