Ministry actively engaging the world for skill development

Many partnerships in place, both internationally and at the State level

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy has said that the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is actively engaging with the world in skill development.

The Sector Skill Councils have studied the international best practices in their respective sectors and incorporated them in creating operational plans. Moreover, the National Skill Development Corporation and National Skill Development Agency have collaborations with foreign Governments and institutions. The list of the international engagements made is given at Annexure-I.

In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Rudy said, the Government is constantly engaged with State Governments in its endeavor for Skill Development in the country. A brief on engagements with State is at Annexure-II.  The Government has recently launched National Skill Development Mission for conversance and co-ordination of skilling activities across India.

The Mission envisages active participation of state governments in policy making and implementation of Skill Development efforts with their representation in Governing and other Committees under the Mission.
