Project Cargo to train manufacturing and transport industries in heavy lifting

By Swati Sanyal Tarafdar,

Project Cargo will be a platform for attendees to understand the complex cargo projects and how to avoid accidents

UBM's Project Cargo India 2015 shall bring together the industry, trade and the government to discuss and debate on the most pressing issues under Project Cargo end-to-end services and learn the latest techniques to manage heavy lift and project cargo transportation.

The event will take place in Mumbai's Novotel Hotel on 8th and 9th September, 2015.

The 'Make in India' campaign will see investments that would connect India to the global production networks and would generate significant new business for logistics. India is looking forward to another promising year with great hopes, plans and aspirations.

Project Cargo clearly drives the heavy-lift sector. In terms of sophistication, the equipment and technologies available in the logistics industry in India do not compare very favourably with those abroad.

Project Cargo will be a platform for attendees to understand the complex cargo projects such as load-outs and multi-crane lifts, topics such as rigging (both basic and advanced), jacking and skidding, gantries, tailing devices and last but not the least, how to avoid accidents. International trainer for heavy lift and cargo handling, Marco J. van Daal will be conducting a master class for the 1st time in India for Project Cargo.

The master class will have more than 80+ directors, senior vice president, vice president, heads, country managers, general managers and managers from the Indian and international logistics and manufacturing industries looking for networking opportunities with the freight forwarders, airlines, port owners (mostly private ports), LCL's (less than container loads), shipping lines (container shipping), insurance companies, lashing companies and consultancies (surveyors) present at the conference.

Marco J. van Daal has worked in the heavy lift and transport industry since 1993 starting with Mammoet Transport from the Netherlands and later with Fagioli from Italy, both respected companies and leading authorities in the industry.

The objective of The Works international is to offer Heavy Transport & Lift training that covers every aspect associated with the execution of a project. It has been more than 20 years in the industry where he has executed projects in 5 continents, in over 55 countries which have resulted in his bestselling book, "The Art of Heavy Transport".
