Renault-Nissan appoints new head of manufacturing engineering & SCM

Jérôme Olive to take charge on August 1, 2015

Olive joined Renault in 1982. He held various manufacturing-related positions at the Sandouville, Fonderie de Bretagne and Douai plants in France before he was promoted to General Manager of the Douai plant in 2004.

In 2010, he joined Renault's subsidiary Dacia - maker of the popular Logan model - as Managing Director of the Renault Group in Romania and Managing Director of Dacia. In 2013, he was appointed Industrial Director for Renault's Euromed-Africa Region, in addition to his role as Managing Director of Dacia. He was promoted to Senior Vice President, Manufacturing and Logistics Europe in January 2014, responsible for 16 production sites.

The converged Purchasing, Engineering, Engineering Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management and Human Resources functions were created to accelerate efficiency and synergies across the Alliance. Thanks to the convergence, the Alliance expects to overachieve on its goal of generating 4.3 billion euros in annualized synergies by 2016, up from an estimated 3.8 billion euros in 2014.
