At the recently held Automation Expo 2026 in Mumbai, Mike Trikoilis - Vice President & General Manager EMEA, Eaton leadership highlighted how the company is aligning its global strategy with India's growth ambitions through advanced manufacturing, localization and innovation-led investments.

"India is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, and we see it as a key driver of Eaton's future growth. Our investments in localization, manufacturing and innovation reflect our long-term commitment to the Indian market," he said.

According to the company, the adoption of AI has enabled manufacturers to gain greater visibility into production performance while improving operational efficiency and decision-making. Alongside AI, cybersecurity has emerged as a critical priority as industries become increasingly connected.

Eaton also emphasized the growing importance of energy optimization in manufacturing, noting that the company has committed to reducing its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 50% and is on track to achieve this target across its global manufacturing hubs.

With India positioned among the world's fastest-growing economies, the company believes the country presents significant long-term opportunities for industrial growth.

Referring to projections by the International Monetary Fund, Trikoilis noted that India's GDP is expected to grow by 6.7%, creating a strong foundation for future manufacturing investments. Eaton already operates more than 20 locations across India and employs more than 3,000 people, supporting innovation, program execution and manufacturing activities.

Building on this presence, the company plans to make substantial investments in new manufacturing facilities across the country while strengthening localization efforts in line with the Government's Make in India initiatives.

Innovation remains central to the company's growth roadmap.Trikoilis stated that Eaton is the first company globally that can go from the grid to the chip, offering integrated capabilities spanning automation, infrastructure solutions, cooling technologies and support for data centres.

With hyperscalers continuing to invest heavily in India, Eaton sees significant opportunities to deliver solutions that improve energy efficiency, reliability and overall infrastructure performance. Looking ahead, Eaton believes India will continue to be one of its most important markets globally.

The company noted that it is witnessing double-digit growth in India despite ongoing geopolitical uncertainties worldwide. It also pointed to India's strengthening economic partnerships with Europe and the United States as key factors supporting industrial expansion, technological innovation and the country's ongoing manufacturing transformation.
