NEC Corporation, GLA University and Edulateral Foundation sign MoU to empower students in Al and Analytics

This collaboration shares the vision to nurture students with a solid understanding of emerging technologies.

NEC Corporation India (NEC India), a subsidiary of NEC Corporation, GLA University and Edulateral Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a vision to empower students with a solid understanding of emerging technologies. The MoU was signed by Deepak Jha, GM, NEC Corporation India, Ashok Kumar Singh, Registrar, GLA University, Mathura, and Dr. Pradeep Gnanapragasam, Executive Director, Edulateral Foundation.

Owing to this collaboration, the Department of Computer Engineering and Applications, GLA University, will be launching the B.Tech (Honors) CSE program with a Specialisation in Al and Analytics. Additionally, NEC India will be offering its vector engine system alongside course certificates and an education program focused on ML, analytics and high-performance computing to help students develop the right set of skills and gain valuable exposure through hands-on training. Further, Edulateral Foundation, a non-profit organisation centred on creating educational networks to promote employability and entrepreneurship among students, will be offering its expertise in providing infrastructure support and training to set up an NEC India certified laboratory as a Centre of Excellence. 

Deepak Jha, General Manager and Head of Artificial Intelligence Platform, NEC India, said, "NEC India is determined to help make India a powerhouse of tech talent. Today, as we move closer to achieving the vision of ‘Digital India', there is an urgent need to bolster the education sector with the prowess of AI and Data Analytics. By synergising our expertise and leveraging the potential of AI and Data Analytics, the talent pool of GLA University will be equipped with the experiential knowledge of the most cutting-edge technologies in the sphere of AI and Analytics."

Ashok Kumar Singh, Registrar, GLA University, said, "With the increasing demand of AI and analytics solutions across industries, we are certain that the newly devised B.Tech (Honors) CSE program with a Specialisation in Al and Analytics will provide invaluable exposure to the pupils and  inspire young tech professionals to create world-class applications and become better prepared for the ever evolving landscape of the technology industry."
