The substations commissioned by Godrej & Boyce will connect Sira and its adjacent towns on a state-level grid through 220kV and 66kV transmission lines, thereby giving access to reliable quality power with a transformation capacity of 200 MVA. The substation will not only provide the required momentum to encourage the industrial landscape in and around Sira, which was otherwise in a nascent stage due to the absence of reliable power. With the substation, the guarantee of reliable power will be resolved by transmitting electricity to the emerging Industrial establishments and data centres in the area. It will potentially expand the industrial landscape in the future and provide a manifold of growth opportunities.

Raghavendra Mirji, Senior Vice President & Head – Power Infrastructure & Renewable Energy (PIRE), Godrej Electricals & Electronics said, “We are thrilled to commission substations with high power capacity that will not only resolve the problem of reliable power in Sira but also pave way for industries to perform better due to better accessibility to an efficient power supply in the region. We hope to expand our reach to such smaller towns in the state to improve the quality of power transmission in future.”
