Renault Twizy, a new vehicle in the Bluecub all-electric car-share fleet

From 2 June 2015, twenty Renault Twizys have joined the Bluecub all-electric car-share fleet serving Bordeaux and outskirts. This compact two-seater vehicle extends the Bluecub service to offer subscribers an alternative to Bolloré's four-seater Bluecar.

Twizy, Renault's 100 per cent electric two-seater, is extremely compact (2.34 m long by 1.24 m wide), has a very low centre of gravity, and boasts nifty acceleration of barely 6 seconds from standstill to 45 km/h. With its all-round visibility and open design, it is absolutely ideal for city driving.

The Twizys in the Bluecub fleet have been specially adapted for connection to the Bordeaux subscription system and call centre, and they recharge exactly like the Bluecars: the driver just shows his/her subscriber's badge at the charge terminal and plugs the car in.

Thirty Renault Twizys joined the Bluely service in Lyon in April 2015. And by the end of 2015 there'll be a total of 110 Renault Twizys available across the Bolloré Bluely service in Lyon and the Bluecub service in Bordeaux.
