Tata Power wins 3 awards at the TAAPA Convention 2015

Tata Power’s Affirmative Action initiatives was recognised in three categories- ‘Significant adoption’ of TAAP, ‘Significant adoption’ for the Education category, and ‘Good practice’ for the comprehensive NAS

Tata Power, India's largest integrated power company, announced that it has won three prestigious awards at the Tata Affirmative Action Programme Annual Convention 2015.

The Tata Affirmative Action Programme (TAAP) is a group initiative, initiated in 2007 for the betterment of disadvantaged sections of the society. Through TAAP, the group educates, employs, and empowers the underprivileged sections of the society, without sacrificing merit or quality.

Under the tenets of ‘Leadership with care', Tata Power addresses the social needs of the traditionally disadvantaged groups as a part of the company's nation building endeavour, employing a focused approach for the upliftment of these communities through TAAP.

This year, Tata Power's Affirmative Action initiatives was recognised at the TAAP Annual Convention in three categories- ‘Significant adoption' of Tata Affirmative Action Programme, ‘Significant adoption' for the Education category, and ‘Good practice' for the comprehensive Need Assessment Study of the targeted SC/ST population in all its project sites.

The occasion was graced by presence of the Group Chairman Cyrus P Mistry, members of the Group Executive Council, and senior leadership of Tata Group. Anil Sardana, CEO and MD, Tata Power; Vivek Talwar, chief culture officer and chief sustainability officer, Tata Power and Remya Mudliar, process owner, Affirmative Action, Tata Power represented the company at the occasion.
