Scania displays Ethanol engine and delivers premium Metrolink Coaches at the Busworld 2015

On the bus handover, Grundströmer said: "The delivery of Metrolink Coaches has helped us accomplish four things: We have a presence in north India; we have an association with UPSRTC; we have entered the state of Telangana and finally our expansion in the southern market continues. Scania Metrolink is designed to withstand Indian conditions and comes with progressive safety elements, refined suspension for comfort and has appealing luxury features. Our products help the fleet operators in achieving most competitive Total Operating Economy giving them edge over other vehicles in terms of maintenance, operating cost and overall revenue generation. With our recently inaugurated bus plant in Narsapura, we will localise our products and ensure our contribution towards the Make in India initiative."

Scania Metrolink comes with refined suspension and breaking systems for safety and comfort. The Metrolink buses are packed with uncompromised safety features such as Fleet Management System (FMS), speed limit compliant to state regulations, six emergency exits with twelve hammers, emergency doors, 100% fire retardant bus body, and Blended Retarder: technology that keeps the service breaks cold for full emergency performance. Metrolink also complies with R66 Standard, best possible safety even in case of vehicle roll over and accident, tested and certified by TUV, Germany.
