Siemens Limited reveals Q2 FY23 results: registers revenue at Rs. 4,401 crore

Profit after tax from continuing operations was at Rs. 516 crore, marking an increase of 61.9 per cent over the same period last year.

For the second quarter of FY23 ended March 31, 2023, Siemens Ltd. registered revenue from continuing operations at Rs. 4,401 crore, which marks a 28.8 per cent increase over the same quarter in the preceding year. Profit after tax from continuing operations was at Rs. 516 crore, an increase of 61.9 per cent over the same period last year.

The company also booked new orders of Rs. 31,151 crore in Q2 FY23, which included an order of Rs. 25,455 crore for the 9000 HP locomotive project. Consequently, new orders in Q2 FY23 grew by 8.1 per cent on a comparable basis.

Sunil Mathur, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Siemens Limited, said, "We continue to see substantial tendering by the Indian Railways and continued capex expansion in infrastructure led by Central Government spending. Private sector capex is mainly in the steel, cement, data centres, intralogistics and e-vehicle market segments. Customers are also keen to adopt energy efficiency and digitalisation measures to improve their productivity, flexibility and quality while demonstrating their commitment to sustainability."
