TATA.ev, India's largest four-wheeler EV manufacturer and a frontrunner in the country's electric mobility revolution, today inaugurated its first 10 TATA.ev MegaChargers – with 5 of these launched in partnership with Statiq. This high-speed charging launch closely follows TATA.ev's commitment to enhancing e-mobility in India by more than doubling the number of available charging points to 400,000 by 2027.

Driving the next phase of electrification in India, TATA.ev, through its 'Open Collaboration' framework, has not only forged successful partnerships with multiple Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), but has also significantly expanded charging infrastructure across key hotspots – particularly along highways – to ensure seamless long-distance travel. A flagship initiative under this framework is the creation of the TATA.ev MegaCharger network, designed to offer high-speed charging and unparalleled reliability.

Speaking about the partnership, Akshit Bansal, Co-founder and CEO of Statiq, said, "Our partnership with TATA.ev marks a pivotal moment for India's EV ecosystem. By combining their leadership in electric mobility with Statiq's innovative, tech-driven charging solutions, we are building infrastructure that stands for trust, convenience, and reliability. Through the iRA.ev and Statiq apps, EV owners can effortlessly locate, reserve, and pay for charging stations. This collaboration ensures that every EV owner – irrespective of their location – has access to dependable charging that supports all leading EV models. By combining our strengths and digital capabilities, we are not just expanding infrastructure but also building the confidence needed for widespread EV adoption, paving the way for a cleaner, greener India."

Expressing enthusiasm at the launch of the first 10 TATA.ev MegaCharger sites, Balaje Rajan, Chief Strategy Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., said, "At a time when EV adoption is on the rise, ubiquitous and dependable charging infrastructure is the need of the hour. These initial 10 TATA.ev MegaCharger sites, situated along key EV corridors in the country, mark the beginning of a superfast charging network that will soon span major highways. The TATA.ev MegaCharger network will increasingly connect India's major cities, eliminating range anxiety. We are on a mission to provide fast, reliable, and seamless charging experiences to enable effortless mobility across the nation – and this is just the beginning."
