
GreenCell Mobility, India's leading electric mass mobility company, has been awarded the Letter of Award (LoA) for the supply and deployment of 472 Eicher electric buses in Madhya Pradesh under the PM E-Bus Sewa Scheme.
The company has partnered with VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) for the deployment of state-of-the-art electric buses across six cities in Madhya Pradesh. In addition, GreenCell Mobility has also joined forces with Pinnacle Mobility Solutions (EKA Mobility) for the supply and deployment of 750 advanced electric buses across eleven cities in Andhra Pradesh.
Backed by Eversource Capital, GreenCell Mobility is at the forefront of India's transition to clean, electric public transport, paving the way towards a greener, more sustainable future. The company is also actively developing and deploying the required charging infrastructure to support operations and ensure seamless service delivery. Currently, 900 electric buses operated by GreenCell are already serving commuters across Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. These new contracts will extend GreenCell's footprint in Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh, reinforcing its commitment to transforming urban mobility and decarbonising public transport in India.

The PM E-Bus Sewa Scheme is a flagship initiative by the Government of India aimed at deploying 10,000 electric buses nationwide, supporting the vision of a cleaner public transport system. In FY 2024-25, Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) floated a tender for 4,588 electric buses under the scheme.
