Weidmueller, a German firm specialising in electronics and electrical connectivity, expands India operations with a facility in Bangalore. It plans to support the ‘Make in India' mission with local manufacturing. 

It's Bangalore office will be open from July 22 with approx. 3000 sq. ft floor area in lieu of its future requirement of space and manpower.

The focus markets of the company are Machinery, Process, Energy, Device Manufacturers and Transportation. The family-owned company with headquarters in Detmold, Germany, is one of the most important suppliers in this segment, having had a crucial influence on the entire industry to this day.

Presently operating with a team of 17 people, which they plan to double in the next 2-3 years, the office will be well equipped to provide support for sales, marketing, training and related services to the Indian market.

Future expansion will be sales and distribution networks at strategic locations, warehousing, valued added solutions with local assembly and eventually local manufacturing in line with the motto ‘Make in India'.
