It has been two years since we re-launched ‘The Machinist'. Surprised? Wait, till we tell you that the publication actually celebrates its 11th Anniversary this January (2016)!
When I took charge of this magazine in January 2014, my first priority as the Editor was to make ‘The Machinist' a robust, knowledge-based, friendly and smart platform for the Indian manufacturing industry. I completely understand that this objective is more of a journey than a destination.
But I must say that Team Machinist has been thoroughly enjoying this journey so far. Equally important is the fact that we have been learning immensely from this journey.
Our Readers, our Advertisers and our Well-Wishers have steadily stood by us; they continue to do so. A heartfelt thank you to all of you. Of course, this is just the beginning and we believe that it will only get more enriching and more enlightening for all of us. So stay with us.
One of the best things that I have learnt from my several plant visits as well as from my interactions with India's best manufacturing professionals is the need to focus on ‘continuous improvement'. That is something which we follow religiously at ‘The Machinist'. And a very critical factor in this process is the feedback and suggestions of our Valued Readers.
So, please take some time from your busy schedule and let us know how you find the magazine. Tell us what you like and what you would like us to introduce.
