These initiatives have been adopted by Volkswagen manufacturing plants across the world and the Pune Plant has been contributing to this cause since 2012. With a target of reducing the impact on environment due to manufacturing processes by 25 percent, several initiatives are undertaken by the Plant to reduce energy consumption, water consumption, CO2 emissions, waste generation and VOC emissions.
