India must aim to become a "zero-defect, zero effect" low-cost manufacturing hub, urges Modi

Today is World Steel Day!

At HANNOVER MESSE today, Salzgitter AG presents cutting-edge material innovations that also include a novel, state-of-the-art xpand steel which is easy to shape yet exceptionally strong. These are particularly suitable for producing parts with complex geometries, and are available from Salzgitter in two different forms - hot galvanized thin sheet and hot strip.

At HANNOVER MESSE this year, Salzgitter AG is hosting the Steel Day industry event and the major highlight at their stand is the latest generation of xpand steels.

The Salzgitter-based steel experts are showing how this innovative range of materials can be used in different applications. In vehicle manufacturing, for instance, there is high demand for materials that minimise the weight of the bodywork while also providing strong external components to ensure a high level of protection for passengers.

With a range of exhibits on display, visitors to the fair can discover more about xpand steels' versatility in a broad spectrum of possible applications. Exhibits include a truck cab.
