Sany Group signs MOUs with Telangana Government

To set up housing industrializations and construction of dry ports

Sany Group, one of the largest global manufacturing companies of construction equipment, today signed two MoUs with the Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandrashekhar Rao for the investment to set up prefab factory and construction of dry ports in the state.

Currently, the company employs about 30,000 people globally and 269 people across India. Sany Group entered India market in 2002 and established a manufacturing plant in 2009 in Chakan, Pune. In India, the company operates in Excavator, Cranes, Concrete Machinery, Port Machinery, Road and Renewable Energy businesses.

Commenting on the announcement, Liang Wengen, Chairman of the Board, SANY Group, said, "As part of our investment and expansion plans in India, we are happy to associate with Telangana state government for our housing industrialization and port solutions business. This is a very important investment for us in the country and we look forward to work closely with the respective state government for this."

K. Chandrashekhar Rao, Chief Minister, Telangana, said, "As part of our next step towards the development and modernization of the state, we are excited to associate with Sany to build fabricated housing using their Pre Cast concrete technology and for the development of dry ports. We look forward to bringing affordable housing and world class dry ports in the state with this partnership."
