Will be investing in the next 12 to 18 months, says Mukesh Ambani.

Mukesh Ambani, the CEO of Reliance Industries, has stated that his company will be investing Rupees 1,00,000 crore in the next 12 to 18 months in Gujarat. The investments will enhance the petrochemical production capacity and help to launch the much-awaited 4G broadband services.

It will also contribute to the ‘Make in India' and ‘Digital India' initiatives. Ambani is hopeful that if all will work in the spirit of partnership then India will soon become the world's fastest growing economy, under the able leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. This announcement was made at the Vibrant Gujarat summit in Gandhinagar recently.

Reliance's Gujarat Connection: Reliance has been an inseparable part of Gujarat's success story. It has invested constantly over the last three decades in the state to convert business vision into reality. As the state has given a lot to the company, Reliance is determined to return the favour. Ambani called Gujarat his home and said that he is proud to be a Gujarati.

Ambani's Statement: Ambani said that they have started their journey of ‘Make in India' by setting up global-scale manufacturing facilities for textiles, synthetic fibres, petrochemicals, rubber and petrochemical refining.

He said that as part of the investment in retail and providing world-class digital services, Reliance will partner and enable thousands of small businesses and Gujarati entrepreneurs to create a virtuous cycle of prosperity for millions of Gujaratis. He encouraged investors to follow his lead and invest in Gujarat to get benefits.
