The manufacturing and distribution expertise of York India and SAF-Holland India are to be combined.

Answering to query raised by The Machinist, the communications team of SAF-Holland has confirmed that SAF-Holland India will be integrated with York India. "For SAF-Holland the Indian market is of high importance and its positioning there is to be further developed intensely in the years to come," said the official response.

With the acquisition of York Group, being one of market leaders i.e. in trailer axle systems, in April 2018, SAF-Holland Group currently owns two entities in India. To expand SAF-Holland Group's footprint in the Indian market, work closer with the customers, increase market awareness and achieve efficiency gains, the manufacturing and distribution expertise of York India and SAF-Holland India are to be combined. "Therefore, it is considered to integrate the small and dedicated distribution entity SAF-Holland India into the larger manufacturing and distribution entity of York India to provide the basis for sustained future growth in the context of the Group's Strategy 2020," the official statement confirmed.
