KAI Group to invest over Rs.175 crore in India

Unveils a diverse range of products to be manufactured at its facility in Neemrana, Rajasthan

KAI Group, a global name in the kitchen equipment and personal care segment, announced its entry in the Indian market with its diverse range of products which includes kitchen and professional grade knives, razors and nail clippers.

Built on long rich heritage of over hundred years in the blade city of Seki, Japan, the home of forging blades, KAI Group is the only cutlery-related manufacturer developing more than 12,000 products in cooking, grooming, beauty care, and medical fields.

The KAI Group enjoys a strong presence in over 7 international markets across the globe and also has manufacturing setup in over 4 countries, with India being the 5th country where the company opened its manufacturing facility in Neemrana, Rajasthan in 2016 aligning itself with the government's Make in India vision.

Speaking at the brand launch, Koji Endo, CEO & President, KAI Group said, "We pride our rich heritage and tradition of producing blades which are driven by outstanding craftsmanship and the spirit of traditional blacksmiths; producing tools that are closely related to and rooted in daily living.

"It is with this same passion that we enter the Indian market with our cutting edge products that use traditional Japanese techniques but are made in India. We have earmarked an investment of Rs.175 crore and hope to achieve a turnover of Rs.100 crore in the next 3 years."
