To set up advanced automation tool room and training programs

Germany-based Zoller has signed a MoU with SRM University to establish their automation tool workshop in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Zoller identified SRM University for this project after an exhaustive research spread across the country.

Addressing the gathering, Christoph Zoller, the third generation entrepreneur from the Zoller family, spoke about the benefits and advantages - which included time and costs reduction and increase in efficiency - which would benefit not one department but all departments in the chain.

He further spoke about the tools and its efficiencies which was much appreciated by one and all.

"Having an additional skill-set with superior technology and techniques will only ensure the engineer to be better in his job and Zoller aims to help them in every way possible," he added.

"As per a study conducted in Europe, the savings per year was over €50,000 for a large manufacturing company which is indeed a very substantial saving," said Christoph Zoller.

The SRM University is the first University to get this prestigious training and tool room facility by Zoller.

Concluding the seminar, it was mentioned that it took nearly three years to reach an agreement and the officials of SRM University provided only the infrastructure whereas Zoller provided all the equipment and hardware to ensure its success.
