Ashok Leyland revenue grows by 39% in FY 2015-16

Ashok Leyland, flagship of the Hinduja Group, registered a 39% increase in turnover at Rs18,822 crore, as against Rs13,562 crore, same period last year. Net profit for the year of FY 2015-16 stood at Rs722 crore, as against Rs335 crore, same period last year. 

An increase in sales volume, healthy margins and a good product mix, helped earnings before interest; tax and depreciation (EBITDA) grow to Rs. 2,166 crore, 11.5% of total revenue, against Rs. 1,027 crore, 7.6% of total revenue for the corresponding period last year.

For Q4 FY 2015-16, net profit stood at Rs. 77 crore compared to a profit of Rs. 230 crore, same period last year, while revenues increased 32% to Rs. 5,955 crore, against Rs. 4,506 crore, same period last year.

EBITDA for Q4 FY 2015-16, (earnings before interest, tax and depreciation) is Rs. 753 crore, 12.6% of total revenue, against Rs. 457 crore, 10.1% for Q4 last year.
