Hunter Douglas India Pvt Ltd has recently inaugurated its unit at Sri City. In a colourful ceremony held at the factory premises, David H. Sonnenberg, Co-President & COO, Hunter Douglas Group, administered the dedication ceremony and declared the unit inaugurated in the presence of PK Sundaramoorthy, Managing Director, Hunter Douglas India, Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director, Sri City, and a host of dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering, Sonnenberg said, "With global manufacturing and distribution capabilities, our international presence is uniquely multi-cultural, yet distinctly dedicated to a shared vision to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers. I am happy to inaugurate yet another unit in India, in right time. It will strengthen our offerings to the architectural and interior market in India."
Speaking on the occasion, Sannareddy said, "I congratulate Hunter Douglas for starting this unit in right time and at right place. Its tradition of bringing breakthrough products to market makes the company of choice for an array of demand based solutions."
"India's market is very promising for its popular products, and the Sri City unit will enable Hunter Douglas to better respond to the growing demands within the country. Hitherto, such products are being imported, and with the availability of Sri City plant a lot of foreign exchange can be saved," he added.
Besides the innovative systems for interior and exterior window coverings, Hunter Douglas' other products include acoustical and metal ceilings, solar control, and facades, etc.
