Omron Embarks on Machine Safety Seminars

1st seminar for knowledge exchange on Machine & Workplace Safety including Robotics held in Pune

Giving more insights on the overall objectives, Sameer Gandhi, Managing Director, Omron Automation India, said, "Being an auto manufacturing hub in Western India, Pune holds a lot of importance for us. Omron is well placed amongst the automotive manufacturing fraternity for its automotive automation and sensors. We are now striving to popularize the safety components and services to this sector. These seminars are a step ahead in this direction. We plan to come up with more of these interactive platforms for our quality, inspection, traceability, robotics & vision solutions too in the future."

The seminar had exhibits of all key offerings of Omron end-to-end Safety solution portfolio comprising of Safety Switches, Safety Sensors, Safety Limit Switches, Emergency Stop Switches, Safety Relays, and Safety Controllers as well as niche Robotics solutions. The solutions highlighted the countermeasures in equipment and facilities and their utility in shut-out detection of mechanical guards, checking intrusion into hazardous areas, and building safety circuits, etc.

"Safety technology needs to become an integral part of every manufacturing unit not only to protect the employees from injuries, but also as a tool to increase production efficiency. This applies well to the automotive sector which has been showing the highest rate of adoption of automation technologies," Gandhi, added.
