Tata Steel starts export of Tata Ferroshots from its Kalinganagar Steel Plant

Tata Ferroshots, granulated pig iron, is a relatively new product launched by the company

The end use of Tata Ferroshots includes electric arc furnaces, induction furnaces, cupolas, basic oxygen furnaces and foundries as a replacement of pig iron, scrap or DRI. Its inherent properties lead to better yield, higher productivity and lower energy cost. Besides, the process of manufacturing is safe and environment friendly.

Tata Steel is setting up a 6 million tonne per annum (MnTPA) integrated steel plant at Kalinganagar in two phases. The first phase of 3 MnTPA state-of-the-art steel plant is being implemented at an investment of Rs 25000 crore. The plant was dedicated to Odisha by Odisha Chief Minister, Shri Naveen Patnaik on November 18, 2015 and Commercial production from the plant started in May 2016.
