Sany enters into heavy gantry cranes segment in India

Signs contract with JNPT for design, manufacture and supply of Electrically operated Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes

Commenting on the announcement, Deepak Garg, CEO, Sany India said "Sany is excited to enter into the Heavy Gantry Cranes segment in India with this prestigious order from JNPT, and this further reinforces Sany Group's commitment to the Indian Market.

"The latest E-RTGCs from Sany Group powered by cutting-edge technology will help JNPT to enhance productivity, increase port efficiency and lower operating cost. Equipped with jacking yard-turning mechanism, it can travel laterally and longitudinally and is equipped with self- rotary for bunching operation and independent operation. Our intent is to associate with ports like JNPT and contribute to the development and modernization of ports in India."

Currently, Sany Group employs about 30,000 people globally and 300 people in India. SANY Group entered India market in 2002 and established a manufacturing plant in 2009 in Chakan, Pune. In India, the company manufactures excavators, truck mounted cranes, crawler cranes, transit mixer, batching plant, motor graders, piling rigs, etc.
