New Holland Fiat India signs MoU with MP Govt

To establish new training centre in the state and provide innovative products for agricultural mechanisation.

New Holland Fiat (India) Pvt Ltd. has signed an MOU with the Government of Madhya Pradesh for establishing new training centre in the state. The Company will also provide innovative products for mechanisation of sugarcane harvesting, cotton mechanisation, corn mechanisation and biomass management.

Training in high tech equipment provides the opportunity for sustainable farm mechanisation to facilitate rapid agricultural growth through efficient utilisation of inputs and the state Government has been very aggressive to take the mechanisation forward in the state.

To initiate sustainable mechanisation of sugarcane and other crops, the company is partnering with the Directorate of Agriculture Engineering (Government of MP) for setting up new Agri training center to provide the requisite training in using these agricultural machines and their technology, as well as transferring its know-how and expertise to all the stakeholders including farmers, operators, technicians , cane teams and department officers of MP Govt. Under the MOU, the Government of MP will provide all the necessary backup and support in establishing this training centre.

Currently, Madhya Pradesh has a tractor market of around 90,000 tractors per year. New Holland Fiat India is growing its market share with more than 27,000 tractors already in operation in the state. Owing to the current scenario in agriculture sector and need of specialised farm mechanisation equipments for farming, the Company is in the process of establishing additional manufacturing plant in Chakan, Pune (Maharashtra).
