Siemens wins a contract from PGCIL

Scope of the order includes design, supply, installation and commissioning of 7X500MVA, 765/400/33kV, single-phase autotransformers.

Siemens Ltd announced that, it has won an order worth approximately Rs78 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) to design, supply, install and commission 7 X 500MVA, 765/400/33kV, Phase Autotransformers at Bhuj.

"The project will boost the power handling capacity of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) and create safe, reliable transmission infrastructure in western India. The project also promotes environment protection as these Transformers will transmit power generated from renewable sources," said Harald Griem, Executive Vice President and Head, Energy Management Division, Siemens Ltd.
