Global Conference on Plastics in Automotive (GCPA), a first of its kind of an event for plastics and automotive industry, concluded on September 22. The event was graced by dignitaries like Rajan Wadhera, President & Chief Executive - Truck, Construction Equipment & Power Train Business, Head - Mahindra Research Valley; Member of the Group Executive Board, Automotive Farm Equipment Sectors, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and President - Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) and Ajay Durrani, Country President, India and Managing Director, Covestro (India) Pvt Ltd. In his keynote address Wadhera highlighted the importance of plastics in the present and future of the automotive industry.
The CEO Panel, which consisted of Amit Kavrie, Executive Director Supreme Treon Pvt Ltd; B.P. Shiv, Chief Marketing & Programs Officer, Plastic Omnium Auto Exteriors India Pvt. Ltd; R K Sharma, Co-Founder & Managing Director, Daejung India; Dr. Madhu Ranjan, Managing Director, ElringKlinger Automotive Components India Pvt. Ltd. and Ajay Durrani, Country President, India and Managing Director, Covestro (India) Pvt Lt, discussed current scenario and way ahead from management perspective.

Rajeev Sharma, Head Proto Manufacturing Factory &: Tool Room, Global Centre for Innovation and Technology, Hero MotoCorp Ltd presented his thoughts in ‘Future trends: Additive manufacturing: Disrupting design with plastics'. Deepak Paul, Sales Manager, igus India presented interesting session on product lines that igus India has and its applications.
