“Super Shopfloor Awards boosts Make in India”

The Machinist Super Shopfloor Awards 2016 is one of The Times of India Group's meaningful contribution towards Government of India's ‘Make in India' initiative. Through this, The Machinist magazine encourages Indian manufacturers not only to make in India but make it by undertaking fair practices of manufacturing. To achieve this goal, the nominations were invited in the following categories—safety, innovation, green manufacturing, machining excellence, technology adoption and quality.

Speaking on the same, one of the jury members, Dr Madhu Ranjan, Managing Director, Elringklinger Automotive Components India Pvt Ltd said, "Success of Make in India depends upon making our manufacturing sector globally competitive in cost, quality, efficiency, safety and environmentally friendly. One of the key-resource required to achieve the above is the skill-set of the 'People' and innovation. The Machinist Super Shopfloor Awards provide a perfect platform to identify and facilitate extra-ordinary efforts by the manufacturers, which is a great motivator for those who are awarded to further enhance their performance and for others to compete with the best."
