Ceres partners with Nissan for EV applications

Receives £7 Million in funding from UK government through the Advanced Propulsion Centre.

 

Ceres Power has established a new partnership with Nissan to further develop fuel cell technology for electric vehicle applications. Ceres Power and The Welding Institute ("TWI") received a £8 million UK government funding for the project through the Advanced Propulsion Centre.

Nissan, Ceres Power and TWI will establish new partnerships to further develop fuel cell technology for electric vehicle applications. Ceres Power and TWI received £7 million and £1 million from APC in about three years, which is part of a total of £19 million.

The new partnership is based on the successful development of Nissan over the past two years, and Ceres Power will accelerate the commercialization of its SteelCell® fuel cell technology in the automotive market.
