L&T Construction has bagged EPC orders

Worth ₹1,723 crores

The Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) Business of L&T Construction has bagged EPC orders worth ₹1,723 crores. The business has won an order in the Kingdom of Morocco for the construction of 400kV and 225kV Transmission Lines to evacuate power from the Midelt solar power station.

The business has bagged another order from Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company for the construction of a 220kV overhead transmission line from Toshka in Egypt. This will form a crucial link in the Egypt-Sudan electricity interconnection project.

Another order bagged in Algeria is to build a 60/10kV Gas Insulated Substation in Annaba city.

Yet another order from the Nepal Electricity Authority is for the design, supply, installation,  testing and commissioning of 220kV Substations.

In India, an order has been secured for the construction of 220kV and 132kV Transmission Lines and Substations in Madhya Pradesh on a total turnkey basis under the Green Energy Corridor projects. Another major order has been won for the establishment of a 400/230kV Gas Insulated Substation in Tamil Nadu.

The business has received an order for urban electrification and sub-transmission works in Jammu and additional orders from ongoing power distribution jobs. Orders have also been bagged to build grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic systems and solar powered irrigation systems in the states of Bihar and Jharkhand. Such projects contribute to the development of renewable energy and rural livelihood promotion.
